Registration information 2020-2021 School year

The Future Bound Independent Office will open on August 24th. If you have a returning student please enroll your student through your Power School Parent account. We will contact you to set up an initial meeting with your teacher when we return in August. If you are new to the district please contact Principal Leavitt's office at 760-787-4302 to set up an appointment to meet with the Principal. All incoming students must have Principal approval to enroll.

Welcome to Montecito High School/Future Bound

Montecito High School prepares students for academic success, for personal growth, and to become productive community members by providing a safe, supportive and flexible learning environment.  Students fulfill academic requirements, and demonstrate personal social responsibility that will empower and prepare them to thrive in the 21st century.

Montecito High School has received a six-year term accreditation by the Accrediting Commission for Schools from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges through June, 2026.  Montecito High

Daily Program

The regular education program is offered five days per week between the hours of 8:30am and 1:10pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday  This program provides students with a comprehensive academic and vocational course of study which meets State and RUSD standards toward earning a high school diploma.

ASSETs

The 21st Century High School ASSETs grant provides incentives for establishing before and after school enrichment programs that partner with school and communities to provide academic support;  safe, constructive alternatives for high school students; and assistance in passing the California Exit Examination (CAHSEE).  This includes opportunities for students who are striving to become credit current.  The major focus of the credit recovery period is student learning, meeting state standards and providing additional academic support.

Future Bound Independent Study

Future Bound High School is an educational program that allows students to work at their own pace from home. This program provides a teacher to review their assignments, meet with students once per week, and provide tutoring when needed.

G.E.D.

The G.E.D. program is offered here on our campus.  The G.E.D. Test is designed to measure the skills and concepts which are usually learned during four years of regular high school.  Any individual within 60 days of his/her 18th birthday.  Tests may not be administered to candidates who are enrolled in an accredited high school.   Please register at GED.com and visit our GED office on Wednesday and/or Thursday from 4:00 - 6:00pm to get additional information and requirements about the GED Program.
